About this model

Model overview

If your WM3095C quit mid-cycle, the first question is whether it stopped from a safety reason or a failed part. This model is a 4.5 cu ft front load washer, so the behavior of a round-door machine applies: the control watches the door lock, the water level, the drum motor and the drain, and halts when any of them disagrees with what it expects.

When it will not start or spin

A washer that stays dark may have lost power at the outlet, GFCI or breaker, which our breaker trouble article addresses. One that lights up but never fills could be waiting on water; check the hose valves. If it fills but the drum will not turn, look for the LE code and think about a heavy load pressed against the door. A technician then checks the motor, its control and the belt-free drive path.

Leaks

Water on the floor can come from a loose hose collar, a worn door gasket, the detergent drawer overflowing from too much soap, or the drain pump housing. The AE code appears when the washer senses an internal leak and shuts down on purpose. Do not restart it repeatedly. Dry the area and close both supply valves.

Apartment and closet installs

Condos and rentals often put the washer over a finished floor or beside a water heater closet. Drain height, hose length and floor flatness change how the washer behaves, and landlords sometimes want a written note of what was found. We provide one with the estimate.

Next steps

Write the model number, the display message and what the washer did right before stopping. Then open our LG washer repair page or read the LG washers overview. Compare notes with the related WM3090C page if you own both a spare and a main unit.

What we write down on arrival

Before touching the washer we ask when the problem began, whether it follows a particular program, and if anything changed nearby, such as a new hose, a plumber visit or a move of the washer. Those answers often shorten the diagnosis, because a washer that worked for years and failed right after the hoses were reconnected tells a different story than one that has slowly started to shake.

We then run the washer through a short cycle while watching fill, wash motion, drain and spin, listening for the moment the sound or the behavior changes. Photos of the display and the label go into the written estimate so you have a record of what was found.
