No heat, long drying times or a sensor code on the DLEX9700 usually trace to airflow, power or sensors.
The DLEX9700 is an electric dryer in the LG SIGNATURE series. Electric dryers share a simple logic: a heating element warms air, a blower pushes it through the drum and out of the vent, and sensors tell the control when to stop.
A dryer that tumbles without warmth might have lost one leg of its power supply. The nP code reports no current at the heater, usually a wiring side issue, and the PS code points to improper supply voltage. Check the double breaker first and flip it fully off and on once.
Clothes that stay damp are often an airflow problem. The d75 family reports restricted exhaust. Clean the lint filter, look at the vent hose behind the dryer and outside wall cap, and make sure the hose is not crushed against the wall in a tight closet. Long runs of foil duct in older buildings are common culprits.
A HS code is a humidity sensor error, while tE1 and tE4 relate to temperature sensors. Wipe the metal sensor bars inside the drum with a damp cloth when the dryer is cool; dryer sheet residue can confuse them.
Clear the lint filter, wipe the sensor bars, confirm the door shuts fully (see dE) and restart once. Do not disassemble the back panel, and switch off the breaker if you smell burning.
Visit LG dryer repair and the LG dryers page. The DLGX9701 is the gas companion in the same series.
Belonging to the LG SIGNATURE series does not change how venting and power work. A dryer in a tall, narrow closet with a shared exhaust can still struggle if the vent is crushed, and a perfect machine will not heat with half a circuit. We start with the supply and the vent for that reason.
Tell us the length and layout of your duct if you know it, and whether the dryer is stacked, in a closet or in an open laundry room. Those details shape the diagnosis and the written estimate.
Electric.
Poor airflow or a sensor that reads wrong are the usual causes.
The supply must be correct for the dryer to heat, and a technician checks it during diagnosis.
