Error codenP
ApplianceDryer
When nP shows, the dryer has found no current at its heater, so it may not be heating. LG says that this normally traces back to the electrical wiring of the house.
Checks to run, in order
Cord and outlet: make sure the cord is fully seated in a grounded outlet that supplies the 240 volts printed on the dryer’s data plate.
Breaker: at the main panel, switch the dryer’s breaker off and leave it for at least 10 seconds. That clears the power surge held inside the breaker.
Voltage: if nP is still displayed, an electrician should confirm that the right voltage arrives at the dryer’s outlet.
When the outlet proves fine but the dryer still does not heat, the dryer itself needs repair.

Once an electrician has vouched for the outlet, call (415) 223-7887 and ask about LG dryer repair. Tell us the model number and what the electrician found.
Model compatibility: LG reuses codes across series and model years, so nP may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
