LG Cooktop 1 Error Code
Code 1 is a thermistor error on an LG cooktop. A power key press and a 30-second breaker reset come first.

Glass tops fail in quiet ways: a zone that never warms, or controls that drift. We find out why first.
The LCE3010SBE is an electric cooktop that LG lists as available from 2023. The surface is glass over radiant heating zones, with touch controls built into the top, so one pane houses both the heat and the electronics.
If three zones heat and one stays cold, the fault is local: the element, its connection, or the sensor that watches it. If every zone is dead, look wider, at the supply circuit or the control module. That distinction is where a diagnosis begins, and it is why we ask which zones misbehave when you book.
Water and metal resting on the pads for a long stretch trigger LG’s cooktop code 4. Wipe the top dry, lift away pots and utensils and try again. The guide on cooktop touch controls not responding covers more, and the page for LG cooktop code 4 explains the meaning.
LG’s codes 1, 2 and 3 are thermistor errors, 5 is a display error and 6 is low voltage. See LG cooktop code 6 if the supply is suspect. A low-voltage message may come from a loose connection or a building supply issue, so a technician checks the circuit before touching the cooktop itself.
Verify the breaker, wipe the glass with the cooktop cold, and look for cracks; a cracked glass top should not be used. Never lift the cooktop out of the counter. Burning smell or sparks means switch off at the breaker.
Smooth tops reward flat, dry-bottomed pans of about the same size as the zone. Dragging cookware scratches the glass, and sugar spills must be lifted while hot with a proper scraper, not left to cool and bond. A hairline crack that spreads is a stop-using-it condition because water can reach the electronics under the glass.
Tell us if a zone lights red only in its center; it can hint at a partial element break.
We give a written estimate after diagnosis and only proceed with your approval. The LG cooktop repair service page and the LG cooktops guide give more background.
It is an electric cooktop.
Usually not. A single cold zone points to that zone’s element or connection.
No. Stop using it and book a diagnosis.
A wet or covered control pad is a common cause. Dry it, clear the surface and retry once.
