LG Range F1 Error Code
F1 is how an LG range reports an upper oven thermistor error; a short reset comes first.

One tall cutout, two cavities: we work out which half is at fault before anything is replaced.
The LWC3063ST is a combination wall oven, which pairs two cooking cavities in a single built-in column. It comes with smart features, but we treat connectivity as secondary to the heating and lock hardware that actually fail first.
Start by noticing which side misbehaves. LG separates the two in its codes: F1 and F2 relate to the upper oven thermistor, F4 and F5 to the lower one, and the door lock faults split into F10 for the upper oven and F20 for the lower. If only one cavity fails, the other keeps working, which tells a technician the shared power supply is probably fine.
Open LG range F20 if the lower door will not release, or LG range F4 for a lower thermistor message.
Check both oven doors close squarely. Clear racks and trays blocking the rear wall. Switch off the circuit for a short moment and restore it to clear a frozen display. If the trouble repeats on one cavity, leave it off and use the other. Never take the trim apart or pull the column out of its cabinet.
A stacked column is heavy and sits tight in its cabinet, so we need to know the opening dimensions, whether a microwave or warming drawer sits nearby, and whether stairs or a narrow hallway lead to the kitchen. In many San Francisco flats those details decide how the visit is planned.
When one cavity is out of action, resist the urge to compensate with long bakes in the other. Long high-heat sessions raise the temperature inside the shared column, and if a cooling fan is already struggling, the second oven may follow the first.
Keep notes: the time, the mode and what the display showed. That small log shortens diagnosis for a combination unit more than for any other kind of oven.
It is a combination wall oven, with two cooking cavities built into one column.
Often yes, provided there is no burning smell or tripping breaker. Switch off the faulty cavity and book a diagnosis.
LG lists F4 and F5 as lower oven thermistor errors and F20 as a lower oven door lock failure.
Not necessarily. We decide after diagnosis, and we explain the access plan before starting.
