Why UE appears
UE is an unbalance error: the laundry stays heaped on one side of the drum however the machine tries to spread it, so spinning cannot run evenly. Loads that are oversized or undersized can cause it, as can a machine standing crooked. Front-load washers, WashTower stacks and top-load washers are all covered.
Causes listed by LG
- Clothes unevenly placed in the drum, such as when a laundry net is misused.
- Items unsuited to machine washing.
- A washer standing off level.
Checks to work through
- Pause the washer, remove the laundry, lay it back in evenly, and choose a fitting spin cycle.
- Fill the drum to roughly 2/3 of its capacity.
- Keep electric blankets, curtains, rubber mats and bathroom rugs out of the machine.
- Wash blankets on Duvet and padded jackets on Sportswear, with medium spin speed.
- Match the laundry net to the amount being washed, and never wash one net alone.
- Level the washer when it shakes or thumps while spin-drying.
SideKick pedestal washer
UE on a SideKick can follow a failed rebalance, a very small load, or heavy and light items washed together. Open the drawer and redistribute the items inside.
